I have tried both a fresh install using the stable repositories, and as
you suggested, an install of the unstable branch followed by a reinstall
(downgrade?) of the main Oscar packages using the stable repo. I end up
with the same error as before.

I've successfully deployed 6.0.5 with CentOS 5.4 i386 without this error
(I am getting the other torque error people have mentioned however).
I did upgrade from the unstable version of 6.0.5 and didn't do a fresh
machine install. I don't know if that means it left another package on
the system
