But how hard is it to make up a last name and keep it consistently as your OSG persona... so that we can easily distinguish you from potentially countless other Eds? It seems like a relatively minor thing to me and it does make a big difference in remembering who people are. -Paul

Ed is my name, not a nickname. If that is a problem... sorry, it is what I was given by my parents. If by civil you meant following the suggested rules of the mailing list, why didn't you just say that. The word 'civil' means something different, such as 'not rude' to most people I know.
