I would like to define direction arrows to set to ON (visible) for all
unknown ("foreign") tracks, which would be like a default value.
And also for start and finish icon to set to OFF.
Any idea where it can be set ?

Try Settings / Walking / Profile appearance, then scroll down to "Position
icon at rest". There are three cone sizes to choose from.

I use OsmAnd very much for trekking, and in the Walking profile the cone is
veery small, almost impossible to find.
Thanks.

During cycling navigation, with the compass set to follow the direction of
movement, I noticed that, after a turn, the map sometimes only partly
rotates, such that instead of the direction of movement pointing upwards
again after the turn, it is instead pointing at some other angle.
I noticed
you'll see a
(very) small blue triangle reporting the straight distance from current
position
5. Rotate the device left/right and you'll see the arrow rotating as
well, showing the relative direction.:

Understood.
But is there a way to choose while setting up a navigation between 'use
the roads/map' and 'just show the direction' while not changing the
profile? Similar like you are choosing to avoid certain roads, fastest

Hi,
I'm sure I'm overlooking something somewhere, but how can I make Osmand
to show the direction to the destination point as a straight line
regardless of the roads, tracks or anything? Is it possible? I still
can't figure it out...
Thanks,

Upgraded from free OsmAnd to OsmAnd+ on a Samsung Galaxy A3 2015.
Setting a destination shows an arrow pointing to the destination in the

The problem is that this arrow now shows the absolute bearing to the

You can also get to this from General settings/Map orientation.

I think you need the brouter plugin. It does need extra storage on the
