about 2-3 years. Prune juice certainly did the trick and he eventually
grew out of it. Hope this helps.

I regrettably let you all know that late today

48yrs. He was in Mt Gambier for a regular clinic, fate would have it that his
wife went with him. He suffered a stroke Sunday and was rushed back to FMC where

Hi Melissah and Scott,
If I was facing your problem today I think I would take the
advice of a good naturopath and see if that will help in the short term.
If it is not quickly remedied it would also be a good idea to rule out any
medical complications. It sounds as if you are

I don't quite know what to make of this but at work
today one of the obstetricians told me that he had heard of a proposed (?)
double blind study into 'natural' vs Caesarean birth in healthy, low risk
primips to be carried out in the USA.
Which means basically that healthy,
I"ve also heard of this being proposed in the US. I
would hope that it would never pass the ethics commitee, but who knows.

I have
had the pleasure of looking after 2 women using hypobirthing. It's wonderful.
Theywere in full control, aware, and relaxed. Their partners have also
been much more relaxed, and going with it. So often it's the partner who
undermines her ability to birth.I suggest it and/or yoga to
From what I have read on US websites this is being
proposed by the same dr (Hannah) or close colleagues as who

Toronto?). Not completely sure though. Doesn't sound too dissimilar to the
ACTOBAC trial invisaged for here. After
Hello colleagues,
The topic of hypnobirthing is a fascinating one.
From my point of view, we are all constantly being hypnotised. The
second/minute our brain waves slow from the day to day, minute to minute

our heads, to
Yes, we can get bogged down in semantics when discussing what is meant by
natural birth. What I mean is clear to me and that is what was, I believe,
envisaged by the early proponents of natural birth is women birthing under
their own power without pharmacological pain relief or obstetric

Yes, Marilyn, my reading of what you meant was just that, but even the narrowest
biomedical definition of no intervention (including analgesia) fails to be
sensitive to the taken-for-granted and therefore unseen aspects of culture. For
example, the psychological and spiritual advantages of women

Marilyn, this response is brilliant. But I think we are saying the same
