Up north here we are beset by grandma's who are always
telling mothers that the baby needs extra water to drink. I know that that is
not the case but I need references to be able to quote from please

I am used to putting folded towels in the bottom of the bath. My birth pool I use a two inch foam mattress underneath it before putting the water in making it softer. I also have an inflatable ring in my bag which gets lots of use as a pillow floatie whatever. I have thought that pool noodles
have not found the gel type mat to be generally available,
but it is very comfortable. MM

type non-slip bath mat which I clean with dilute bleach

I don't know how you can get the policy changed as a staff member other than encouraging other mw to have OHS type training that allows for women to be managed in baths - RWH Brisbane apparently do this training through their physio dept and it teaches the mw's how to lift (with assistance) a
