Unfortunately it requires them. That rules out us using it period as we're
not allowed local PST files by policy.

Hi Folks,
We're pitching for a piece of work at the moment and based on the

my first meeting on site I noticed that they use a) Netware (native Netware

Hi Bill,
Can you not specify a custom location for the user’s PST file – like a network

Hi,
I can't find a Sharepoint Drafts folder - where would this be.
Interestingly enough if I go to Manage Site Content and Structure and drill
down to library level so I can see the documents then click on the document I
can check it out from there. So if there is a drafts folder maybe that

Yes it is completely possible to restore to a new temporary web

There is no absolute URL's set in the webparts. There's no event log
errors either.

Have you exported the .webpart file and modified it and reimported into the
page? This is the error you sometimes get here...which means you're webpart xml
file code is incorrect. This can also happen if you modify the webpart xml code
in SharePoint designer also.
From: ozmoss@ozmoss.com
Nope, looked at that too. If you create a new site using the template,
it works fine. Then add the alternate access mapping and when you visit
it with the original URL it works, visit it with the alternate access
mapping and you get the error.

Have you tried to debug your webpart?! I have a gut filling that it's about
internal webpart problem, something may be null, like context or url.
Ill try and play around with it and see what is causing it. Problem is
it's happening only in the production farm (not live yet though), so
debugging it might be hard. I have a feeling its put the URL in there
somewhere when it's created the site.
