Take with a grain of salt as we’re not in production yet - just testing phase -
but patched it and reboot and ensured everything works. Solid on our side.

Btw if you have a better translation you can update

Hello all,
I understand the Languages set in Configuration Portal Profiles - we have
ours set to en_US meaning the /pf/conf/locale/en/.. should be triggered.
Is the preferred method to alter the messages within this is to edit the
packetfence.po file directly?
I started editing it but it’s
Hey,
Setting up packetfence now and testing many things. One annoyance I ran into:

I use my laptop (node) to connect using that user account.
Now that I’m done I want to delete the user from the list but I get the error

Curious if you guys have seen any of these two issues during packet fence

Get it on a clean install of packet fence and am getting it when upgrading to 5

packages. Probably
Has anyone configured PF to use external SMS gateways like send quick?
Thanks!

We’re setting up something fairly basic:
Interface listens to dhcp helper requests. Wireless guests will be pushed to

All will be happening on one interface.
In the configurator I have eth0 – IP net mask assigned. No matter what Type I
change it to I always get an error:

For your second question, the way you can do this is on the first page have URI
links. You can set these triggers by going to the “Portal Profiles” in
configuration – select the new pages and in the Filter section specify you will
look for a URI of “x” to be trigger on that first page.

I don’t think there’s any documentation on this but I’ve asked something
similar before… the exact text sits in this file:
../pf/conf/en/LC_MESSAGES/packetfence.po
We started customizing the .po file and to activate the changes you do this:
for TRANSLATION in de en es fr he_IL it nl pl_PL
Out of curiosity, I’ve read this is done in the temporary_password table in the
pf database but not seeing it there (tables below). I see the admin account in
the password table but the actual password field is encrypted – how would one
change the admin password?
Thanks!
Update:
I updated that field anyway – came up as cleartext in the table then but then
logged in through UI and changed pswd and it made it was encrypted again. All
good now.
No coffee today…

Just wanted to check before I muck with the html code is there an easier way to

For example we have a captive portal form that user is validated by having the

thoughts?

ssl web site the browser should present the captive portal.

Yeah, we do the same thing with Chained Auth where we do local first (a
username/ pass provided to the conference) and then secondly we do SMS
verification so we collect all your necessary info and a legit SMS to text a
