How can I say "This application can't be move to Memory Card."
or how user know " Is this application movable or not?"
There's not a very good way to do this, unfortunately. A couple of ideas:
If you set the 'copy protection' bit on your app, the user won't be able to copy
it to the card
i want to be able to control the dtr signal in the serial connection.
(raise and lower). any leads on how to go about this? i lookup sercontrol
and in the headers and all i found was 'dolater dtr, control and status'
I believe that most devices don't support this... I think DTR is
I can't seem to find any reference in the online descriptions of the

I've seen this character used before -- you can even set its default
behavior in the PalmOS preferences. I'm just wondering from where it got
its name. Anything to do with an engineer named "Ron"?
This is a fun little

Why does PalmOS have the notion of memory "cards"? AFAIK because the
Dragonball does.
Um, no, I don't think so...
The Pilot, PalmPilot, and Palm III all had RAM and ROM on a removable card. The

Silly? The programmers reference manuals propagate this way!
Hmm - I wasn't aware of that. Anybody know why this is?

In Chapter 5, Shared Libraries, of my Programmer's Guide to PalmOS gcc, I
explain how SysLibs are designed for low-level hardware-controlling drivers
and
how they are unacceptable for an application-level shared library mechanism.
People doing the latter like MathLib are *abusing* it.
You can make up your own database names, but it has been
recommended that you append your Creator ID to each DB name
to guarantee uniqueness. (E.g., if your Creator ID is 'Spud',
you could have db names like "Names-Spud", "Addresses-Spud", etc.)
The only convention I've seen (and I
But with PalmOS 3.5 calling this function to chanage the
attributes leads to the following undocumented problem:
The PalmOS ALLWAYS overrides the actual category setting
of the application and moves it to the default category.
There is no solution that that will make you happy and that I
I'm not sure I totally understand. Do you mean that any call to
DmSetDatabaseInfo results in the app category being changed to the
default, or only if you call it with the Beam Protection bit set?
Most (maybe all) calls. But this is only if you are setting the info on the

You can't, sorry.
Well, I guess you could... but the only way to do it is by turning off the
screen.
