I'm hitting a problem with MPI builds that is preventing me from updating
paraview in Fedora. See

FWIW - Fedora builds of paraview enable this and I haven't seen any rpath
issues.

appreciate any hint on how to fix it.
Best regards,
Armin
It needs to be fixed in paraview - it bundles mpi4py, and mpi4py uses
dlopen(), so mpi4py needs to be linked to -ldl. Not sure the
appropriate way to fix that in paraview though.

repos you have configured) that
you have paraview-3.8.1-2.el6.x86_64 from EPEL. In that case you do not
run the /usr/lib64/paraview/paraview directly, but run
/usr/bin/paraview. Does that fail?

I also think that paraview/vtk should support gstreamer and thus pluggable

Humm strange. I haven't seen this on the dashboards at all, and most
of them have examples enabled. What gcc version are you using out of
curiosity?
Also fails on F15 and F14, where RC1 compiled fine. Also have enabled
XDMF_WRAP_PYTHON. Will try with that off. gcc is 4.51 (F14) or 4.6.0

Removing XDMF_WRAP_PYTHON had no effect, so this seems to be something
introduced between RC1 and
library?
