But back then, they were called echo speech synthesizers.
It was a good while back I thank in April or May of this year, someone on
this list said that tiger was a screen reader for the MACKS.

As you guessed the .ex was a typo which wasn't the problem, of course.
Downloading the file from the net and directly running it resolved the
installation problem as reported in a prior msg in this thread.
While I love Juice, it has some annoying quirks at times.
