audio, i have CDEx on my laptop i follow all the instructions on ripping files
from a Cd i want to put them on my mp3 player, everything goes fine the files
should be in recorded tracks but when i look in that folder
Hi. If you are using XP then CDEX creates 2 folders in your MY Music
folder which is in the My documents folder. The sub folders are called CDDB
and MP3. All ripped tracks using CDEX will be found within the MP3sub
folder. If the album is not found on the data base then you will find

Hello!
None of those players out there seems to have manuals that are easy to find.
For example vlc media player has a manual but it does not explain much how
to record streams with it.
And the support team and their mailing list is one of the most unhuman
places i've ever been through.
So i think

Is there a tutorial out there for MP3Gain? I have many gigs of audio that have
many different output levels; I'd like to straighten it all out. Also, Somehow
I just can't understand db and how it should be set. Is there anything to read

Hi Joe,
I would search my main drive for one of the files. Go into
my computer and select your main drive. Do not open it, but rather,
press alt f to bring up the file menu. Arrow down to where it says
search and press enter. Now, enter a couple of words from the title

I love GOM Player for recording streams. When I figured it out it all seemed
so simple. If you need any help feel free to ask. I will answer if I know.

Hi. When I installed the programme I used all the defaults, I changed
nothing and the subfolders that appeared in My Music folder wwhich I find
in my Documents were cddb and MP3. Maybe the difference is in the
versions we have. Walter.

Hi folks,
I'm an old boy returning to this great list.
My question is, which version of Windows media player, either 10 or

I seem to recall that there may have been accessibility issues with
wmp 11. Is this correct?
Also, does anybody

Why not start CDEx, press function key F4 to open the options menu and

High Joe,
I am using WMP 10, and running JAWS 10.
The problem that I found with WMP11, is you have to play all of the files
before you burn them to CD.
Even if you done a control + A, it will only burn only one file to the CD.
I am guessing that you want to do other things with WMP.
You can
That's briliant guys, thanks verry much. Complete, concise and right

Google whatever format you want to extract your CD's in. For instance,
if you want to use MP3, google something like help with EAC and MP3.
There's no need to reinvent the wheel.

Hi, When you say, Better separation, does this separate voices into one
speaker and the music into the other? I wouldn't like that.
However, when I had a base and treble equalizer, I could bring specific
sounds into prominence, which I really liked. Sadly, it died.

Hi Jed,
In addition to Barry's suggestion of editing the winamp.bm file directly
I have two other methods for editing Winamp bookmarks.
1) When in the main Winamp window press Control Alt I and this will
start the Winamp library and put the focus on the Bookmarks item in the
library treeview.

Hello Brian. I would recommend winamp. You can set bookmarks. They will also

Hi, I use the victor stream and name each file as 01, 02, 03 etc and put
them in the music, digital books or other books folders. You can speed up

on the unit, you are placed at the last location you were reading in the

No, the voice is always in the middle.
It just gives better separation of the other instruments.

Yeah..and now it doesn't even have that same intensity anymore; when I
listen to a stereo recording, it almost sounds now like the same instruments
are coming through both channels! Not so in the 60s; fact is..if you didn't
have both speakers on, you didn't get all the instrumentation!

Oh, I do use my laptop for reading books. I just put them in a folder and
name them starting with the 01, 02 etc. Then I use Winamp to play them all
by selecting using shift plus ctrl plus end to make sure the tracks are
played from top to bottom. However, the ability to start where I left

Yes, they do. You have to make sure they're updated to the latest
