I used to have a text file with the complete menu structure and
options lists for the Edirol R-09 original firmware release of 1.02 I
believe it was. I have upgraded it twice since and mine now sits at
Version 1.30. I know there's a Version 1.32 available, but I've not
applied it yet because I
Hi. I believe this question has been asked before, but I missed the answer. I'm
looking for a group that features discussions on Audacity. Meanwhile, I'm
wondering if anyone knows of accessible Mac or windows mixing software, priced
in the shareware range.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
Hi Larry,
there's a mailing list for blind audacity users at:
http://www.freelists.org/list/audacity4blind
-there isn't much activity currently on this list, but one of the audacity team
members seems to keep a look out for any questions.
There's also an audacity users mailing list, which has a

The problem is that I will only be using it 2 or 3 times so it seems hardly
worth spending the money on a programme like sound taxi?
For all my other conversions Switch is more than enough.

Yes, Switch is good - I use it too.
Can't you play the file and then record it in a recorder e.g. Audacity?
It's not quite the same but this might supply a solution?

I'm also wondering if you burn the file back onto CD with Windows Media
player [in which it was ripped originally, if you may not be able to rip the
file in a an unprotected format. CDs are so cheap nowadays that it may be
something to try.

I haven't done exactly what you asked for, but I have gone into a
directory of WMA files, selected all dozen or so of them and then let
Sound Taxi convert them. The version I have converts about 8 of them at
a time. I don't have sound Taxi on this system, so I'll have to wait

It's been a while since I've burned any CD's with Windows XP, which is
why I went looking for a sight that had some instructions on it. Since
it talks about dragging and dropping files into a folder, I was assuming
you had a Windows Explorer type interface and you could cut and paste
files
But at least you're on the right track (I wonder how many folks know you can
even burn CDs with Windows XP)..there probably is a way around this drag
and drop thing (I actually have burned CDs using XP; the only thing I ran
into was getting it to put the tracks in the proper order! I probably
