Sound identification SW?

2015-10-18 Thread DALE HELTZER
A kinda far-out question: I have lengthy nighttime recordings of the ambient sounds of my house. I am sometimes startled awake, and I don't know why. But I certainly don't want to have to listen to six/eight-hour recordings, even at triple-speed. So. Is there accessible software that can

Reformatting the ds-50 memory

2013-12-10 Thread DALE HELTZER
I made the mistake of fixing problems reported by my Windows 7 PC when I plugged in my DS-50 to upload files. One is not supposed to do that, apparently. Has anyone reformatted one of these guys, or their near-relatives, and been able to restore voice guidance? The DSS software I had doesn't

is there hope for a noisy recording?

Here's the situation: I brought a PTP-1 to a telethon audition. Because the amplification in the room was so high, I set the recording volume of the PTP-1 quite low, but because I was in a hurry, I set it *too low. When I tried to listen to the recording later, I heard *nothing. In disbelief, I

If you use the 33-rpm player and digitally stretch the result, you'll also need noise and hiss reduction. Are you sure the original material hasn't already been professionally re-done? -Original Message- From: pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On

Wireless settings on the PTP1

2011-03-23 Thread Dale Heltzer
My PTP1 with the new firmware upgrade connects with my secure wireless router, but the device claims the URL is unavailable when I select the .asx file in the PlexWebRadio folder. These .asx files work both on my desktop and netbook PC's. Obviously I'm missing something simple. Any suggestions?
