Hi Saqib,
Thanks for that info. As I said in another reply, I'm copying all audio
files to the library in Windows Media Player, and then I will try and burn
the two that I need to Audio CD, although, if you could clarify the location
of the directory you referred to that would be helpful.

Hi Abarney,
Thank you for your message.

Hi all,
Sorry to reply to my own message, but I've even tried writing the .wma files
to a CDR via the Send Too function in Windows XP and I'm still getting
nowhere. When I try to write the files to CD I highlight each file in turn
and then press shift F10 on it and select send to from the

Hi abarney,
If you are meaning looking at the files in the CD drive, I do have some
residual vision and looking at the files shows that they are ready to be
transferred to the CD, but the process does not take place as far as I can
make out.

Hi Saqib,
Thanks for that reply. The files get to the CD Drive, but it's the burning
to the actual CD where things go wrong.

Hi Les,
I haven't had this desktop very long, so I'd guess that the problem is not
necessarily the burner, particularly as I haven't, as far as I can remember,
successfully burned playable CDs since I've had the computer

Audio List Help,
Hi Alex I have used Windows Media player to burn WMA files to CD by cutting

Windows Media Player just automatically started up and preformed the task. I

Hi Alexander,
in order to get music or any file to play on a standard CD player, you have
to burn them to audio.
To get MP3 files to play on a standard CD player, you have to get a CD
player not older than a couple of years.
