I got the cleaning CD and the problems are still there.
Is there a possibility of some sort of software conflict, or would the
problem CDs still at least start spinning?
thank you

Hi Casey.
Are you using variable bit rate? If so, the first combo box is the minimum
bit rate and the second combo box is the maximum bit rate. The CD will be
ripped at bit rates between these two values depending on what quality
you've chosen.

Hello, well it's using the technique of voice overs in Sound Forge, but my

I don't know if Sound Forge can do this, but gold Wave has a channel Match
feature for exactly this type of purpose. What it effectively does is
maximize the two stereo channels so that the peaks in both are at the
maximum volume without clipping. this effectively evens out the stereo
channels
I'd replace the cdrom drive. There not to expensive any more and you can
get a good dvd burner.

Hi Steve,
You might try to uninstall it, then if you have the software, try
reinstalling it. Dave
