Are you using a USB hub? If so, you might try plugging your iPod directly into your PC. I'm no USB expert though. Switch can do this. It comes as trialware, but after the trial period, you can still use it for free with some limitations. I would guess that converting MPG files would still work. Note that it won't break DRM. Adding music to a MySpace site
Okay, is ther anyone out there foolhardy enough, like me, to attempt to add music to a myspace page? Backing up a little, is there anyone out there foolhardy enough, like me, to Have a myspace page? hahahaha! Only reason I have one is because I found some folks of like interest on there, and, far as I know, (and please oh please correct me if I'm wrong so I can use a better site), it's the only place where you can add music to your site. My Space requires a drag and drop sort of thing for you to move a track you want into your playlist, and I have no clue how to do that with Jaws 8.0. CDex will do this and several other formats and is FREE to boot! So will Goldwave and many others but the free one is probably what you want and is very accessible and easy to use. CDex also ripps CDs and you can save the tracks in several different file formats. Does someone either have an alternate link to download the audio tutorial for this program, or could they email the tutorial to me? (or put it up on sendspace?) Alternatively, could someone give me step by step instructions on how to use this program to detect pauses in a large mp3 file, split the file into smaller parts and save the result? I think this can be done with mp3 direct cut... first thing you're going to want to do when you're on a page with a subscribe button right click that and arrow down to copy shortcut. Now, in the open juice window, control N an edit box will appear. paste that shortcut into the field.
