Hi Morey, If Acer provide an audio driver for your computer for win7, then I would suggest trying these. Unfortunately, Acer's website isn't very accessible, but if you tell me the model number of your computer, the country where it was purchased, and whether you're using the 32bit or 64bit

Clear kote makes a really good cd cleaning product called Disk Restorer. . I have heard of a product called CD Dr. I have used both Armerall and tooth paste. I think cleaning a cd really good with dawn is a really good solution. I have used the clear kote disk restorer on CDs that wouldn't
