One has to upgrade the firmware via the menu system. I always asked a

I think that did it. I must have hit the down arrow inadvertently and
lowered the volume to begin with. It comes down to operator error here.

hello all,
does anyone know if the website for the rockbox software has changed from:

quite comprehensive. The manual does mention Iriver specific features.
