for the accompaniment and then lay down the vocal track, that track ends up
recording whatever I hear unless I turn off the part of the mixer that

Hi tony, I think the simplest thing to do , is to use
audacity, because it's a multy track program.
Another aproach is to get some help using the mixer option in sound forge or
probably goldwave has that also.
