I like the asus rt-ac5300, however any router running dd-wrt big build firmware
can configure a vpn as well as other services. Check out http://dd-wrt.com to
see if your router is supported.

Unfortunately it appears that this Open Source firmware isn’t available for the
RTAC3200 at this time and that’s probably because the RTAC3200 is less than 3
months old. I see the firmware available for the slightly older models from
Asus.

Do you have the auto band stearing on? Anotherwards the router decides what
band the device is on? For now I have this on and things are working great.

I’ve turned all that off and I cdo the configuration manually.
For example my computers are on one Wi-Fi Network whilst Smart Phones are on
another and the remaining 2.4GHZ devices are on the old band.
at this point as far as I’m aware only a handful of devices support the band

Hi again Hamit.
Yes I did listen to Neil's demo on the LS100 and indeed I was torn as to
whither to buy that model or the Zoom. I think that I eventually went with
the Zoom after Neil did a mic comparison, under the same studio conditions
and it appeared to me that the Zoom just came ahead.
Hi!
I think there’s a less expensive model of the asus router which has vpn too but
do not have the ac protocol.
I don’t know much about the ac protocol so i can’t say if i can live without it
or not?

Merry Christmas to you all and here are two things from my archive that I’m
sure will help yo celebrate the festive season in true classic comedy style.
Thanks to everyone for their help and encouragement this year and may 2016 be a
good year for you all.
So here are the gifts.

Most routers these days have VPN facilities however you need to check that they
support VPN clients rather than just act as VPN servers, being able to support
Clients mean a Router can connect to a remote VPN service such as Witopia etc.
There are several Asus Routers that support VPN clients
Yeah pluss the LS 100 almost had no floor noise. It was epic! I wish Sound
Devices would team up with Olympus or at least take note of what they do.

Ah man okay. I wanted to try and buy it too. Don't think I could do $200
though anyways.
