I don't know why this is but it frustrates me. If i could just find

BTW my mic is a logitech mic headset but it is not a usb so it doesn't
need any drivers.

help please with microphone selection in win 7

Hello.
I'm using windows 7, and sa.
I click on the recording tab and I try to look at the list of mics. It
only shows one mic and it is from realtek, not my headset mic. My mic
headset is logitek.
So I figure i've got an internal mic too. How do I get my headset mic
in the list?

Hello all.
At one time in the past, I had my headset mic working but now when i
went to use it today it doesn't work.

I checked the volume and its set to 100.
I also made sure the button on my headset is set to on.
What am I doing wrong?
Also I made sure that the mic jack was hooked to the proper place on
the computer.

thanks.

just a few more hope questions

2012-02-23 Thread Scott VanDeWalle
A note before I paste my questions in here. I hope this is the last few
?'s that I will have for the hope program but in the meantime i want to
know these things

Hi i have just a couple of questions about the hope program for
pandora. First of all, when i buy the software will i be able to merge
all my stations into one. For example to make more room for other
genre's? thanks

Also, when i search for a song, i do not get that just one song. Is there
--any way to search for just one song? Also one more little thing.
Sometimes when i do a search and then click on create station after i
pick from the list that results from thesearch
hope does not add the station to my list, but other times it works.
Does anybody know why?

thanks

Re: ripping my collection: advantages of eAC vs mainstream rippers

2012-02-21 Thread Scott VanDeWalle

Hello.

When I rip cd's i use cdex and rip tomp3 format all the time. Mp3
files are smaller.

Wav files areto big for my liking.
But, I am going to try to start using wmp for ripping instead.

Original message:

Ok I don't think I have the space for flak files. I was hoping mp3 at 320k
to conserve space. So would eAC still be a good choice? Or am I insane for
ripping to mp3s. and I should just wait untill I can get some more space.

Hi Brett,

I used exact audio copy to rip my cd collection, comprising around 1000
discs to flac. To date I haven't encountered any tracks with audible
artefacts, even those which eac reported as having possible errors.

Eac seems to be generally regarded as the most accurate ripping tool
around.
By utilising both secure mode, and the accurate rip facility, I reckon you
can be pretty sure if eac reports no errors you have a perfect copy.

The process of ripping even a collection of a few hundred discs can be
time
consuming, so it pays to get it right first time.

With this in mind, I personally feel it's well worth taking the time to
learn and configure exact audio copy.

Cheers,

Tim.

Hi. I've been reading on list about eAC for ripping cd's and I know a
few people on here swear by it. Was just curious about some of the
advantages using it. I'm thinking of ripping my whole cd collection and
throwing it all out. Is eAC a program I should consider? I've used wmp and
Itunes but I hear some people r unhappy with the results.
thanks in advance for the help.
