How unusable is the proprietary software for transferring files? Can a competent user of the JAWS cursor or Window-Eyes mouse pointer use it? If I get one of these, I would want to transfer the occasional recording to the computer, not do a lot of transfers, and not use it as a mass storage

Yes, Jonathan, I've been following your r-1 explorations. The battery life is a limitation, and so is the price. For what I'll do, I suspect the IRiver will work for half the price or less, but we'll see. For that matter, I'd love the new Plextalk, but that's a little expensive! Dean
