Try some of these things. Do you have the recording level turned up? do you have record preamp set to low or high? try actuating all of the switches on the bottom of the unit in case one is stuck in the middle position. Remove your sd card and format it on the pc. if it is not formated corect

Hi Richard, Your driver settings may be corrupted so you can't choose to select the advance option. The only solution I know to this is to create a new windows xp user and move all your old documents and so on, on to that one. If you have skype you're welcome to contact me for some instructions
