Used ./tar_em_up -B (for deb package)
on 64-bit Wheezy on amd_64
Tried with -F flag and it worked. (Wasn't sure
what the problem was before where I couldn't
get all the libs to build, because they built this
time from git.)

More info needed than that. How did you build it? Are you running 32bit
system on a 64bit cpu?

well, very few *externals* (as in "atomic" (non-openable) objects

That's not a reason to _suppress_ dsp with dynamic patching,
because the process would work exactly the same regardless.
i think this is simply a bug in Pd.
i do some live-coding using dynamic patching, and found that

If an app is running as 64-bit, it can only run 64-bit libraries. If Pd
includes both i386 and x86_64, it will run in one of those modes. So if Pd is
running as x86_64, it will only be able to run x86_64 binaries. In other
words, a universal Pd running in 64-bit mode will not be able to run
Is it possible to build a 64 bit version of pd vanilla for osx 10.7 (x86_64
plus i386) that will run 64 bit and/or 32 bit externals?
I tried ./configure --enable-universal, which creates the makefiles, but the
build fails with:
llvm-gcc-4.2: -E, -S, -save-temps and -M options are not allowed wi

Pd works fine for me on 10.8.2. I bet your problem is with the state
saving/window reloading started in 10.7. See this on how to turn it off:

Hi everyone,
I've noticed that when compiling pix_externals in the extra folder it creates
an "alias" for pix_external.pd_darwin (or _linux if that is the case).
Therefore this file cannot be put in a folder inside a project and declared
with [declare -path].
Does GEM create such a file? and

hi list,
Li, one of my students, started to translate Pd into chinese (simplified),
while taking the traditional as a template.
she might not be an expert on all the technical terms, so please help and check
the translations if you are writing chinese (simplified) here:
