OT question: What other list might exist to discuss/exchange etc mostly the
music that people produce with PD, rather than the technical details? Open to
all styles here, though with a focus on generative, electro-acoustic,
composition, not very IDM interested.
Thanx in advance.

I notice something similar on Mac, maybe not as drastic as on Windows, however,
personally i also favor the old, thinner style.

William, i’d like to pick up on pitch correction 20 years too late as well!
Would you mind sending the example patch again, or privately to me? Digest mode
scrubs attachments here.
Thanx a lot!

Pierre, thank you for the repost.
I hadn’t seen your first post in the archives before.
I use no -nogui modes, so I’ll just continue to use 0.47-1 in the meantime.
Or can i help the update somewhat?

Hello everyone, i only switched from 0.47-1 to 0.48-1 yesterday (on OSX 10.9.5)

Is there anything substantial to path recognition or file registering, which
might have changed in the meantime?
Hoalib is v 2.2 including the cream lib, that came
It seems, that messages should be formatted as plain text - otherwise mailman
treats them like an attachment and strips them, from the digest at least.

If so and you are interested, send me a message offlist. Thank you.

I oftenly use abstractions with arguments (e.g. preset values) typed into the
object box. Unfortunately in that mode the abstractions own GUI is invisible,
due to arguments only working, when “Hide object name and argumets” is active.
Couldn’t there be a way, that let’s one alternatively type

I have a simple question, is there an easy way to list used abstractions of a
patch?
I oftenly pass on patches to fellow musicians and finding used abstractions per
patch can be sticky business - i’d like to not send all abstractions i ever
made instead :)
Thanx for any hints!

Thanx for the stabs repost, hadn’t seen that before.
Of those two layouts i like Dan’s version more, as the “Retina” version gets
too foggy here. I am not using etina, but my eyes like maximum contrast.
The new font, DejaVu Sans Mono works better in the Retina version, though, as
it has
Thank you, João.
Yes, i noticed, that a simple

[float $0]

Thank you for the hint, Johannes. I found (for me) more understandable info
here as well:
http://msp.ucsd.edu/techniques/v0.11/book-html/node67.html
I learned how to do this now.

Is there a way to insert arguments into an object box when loading an

Please excuse this question not entirely being related to Pure Data.
If i feed values 0-1 from linear [hsl] into either
[expr sqrt(1-$f1); sqrt($f1)]
or
[expr cos(1.57 * $f1); sin(1.57 * $f1)]
i essentially get the same set of output values, but with different input
values. Obviously 0.5
I had the same problem on OSX 10.9.5 nut just with 47-1 also with the prior
version of PD. I actually could not quit the application other than by force.
If you go to your audio preferences and switch off/untick “Use callbacks” the
problem might disappear, it did so here, although i don’t know

Problems seems solved after deactivating callback in audio prefs.
I had not used that option (conciously at least) before, but removing the tick
did the trick.

Use throw~ and catch~ instead of send~ and receive~.

Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I'm a composer from Berlin.

I am using until with tabread, and just that little bit of porcessing, which
