Re: [PD] dependency issue installing pd-extended in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
The next step is to see if those externals are available on deken, if not then we can look in to building/updating them. One of the main issues is that maintaining something like pd-extended is a *huge* amount of work. Splitting up the externals helps with that, but now relies a bit more on everyone else in helping to maintain them. yes I know it sounds weird but here I have to be in sync with some teachers and students at the uni running different OSs and the easiest way is to install pd-extended :( I have a set of abstractions that relay on extensions included in the extended version. From 15.10 to 16.04 the libgsl-stuff has been upgraded and is no longer downward compatible. But if you absolutely urge a running pd v 0.43 you will have to recompile: manually edit the build depency from "libgsl0-dev" to "libgsl-dev" and in the debian control files "libgsl0ldbl" to "libgsl2". Pd-extended is dead. use the puredata package that come with ubuntu (and install the libraries you need) - almost everything that used to be part of pd-extended is available as normal Debian package these days. fgmards IOhannes signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature ___ Pd-list@lists.iem.at mailing list UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management -> https://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pd-list
