AF-S/VR G lens makes me furious. No more apeture
ring! How can they do that. Nikon is going backwards
technologically. What a shame.
I am switching to Pentax which is not going backwards.

What you want is a 0.5 diopter close up lens (filter) on my Tokina 80-200
which only focuses down to 6 feet. It changes the focus range to from 3 feet
to 12 feet or so. Which is a great range for portraiture with that lens.

treatments were, since Pentax has never really provided
Pentax USA doesn't list the LX or any of it's accessories as items no
longer serviced. You might want to try there. (Then again based on
past experiences with Pentax Repair in CO you might not).
