This is technically a terrible photo. It took a few goes to get the
lighting & composition right, and at some stage the focus got screwed
up. Which resulted in some heavy PS'ing.

I never owned a leisure suit, but instead had a pair of bright orange pants

But it will apply to all your lenses. So if you make it right for the FA 50,
the FA 20-35 and the DA 40 will be off. Unless all your lenses are backfocusing
or front focusing, leave it alone.

Yes, it's a Frank cornet. I wanted to look like Harry James if I
couldn't sound like him, but I had mentioned to my music teacher that I
had decided to get a new trumpet. With that, he virtually 'insisted' I
get a cornet. "Much richer tone", he would admonish. As it turned out,

I feel your pain.
I have shot 99+% of my K10D photos with the FA 20-35 and the DA 40. I
really hadn't noticed focusing issues. When I did mess with the FA 50
1.4 I did notice some back focus. It is funny (in a tragic sort of way)
watching you folks carefully adjusting something I have no cont
I slogged through deep mud in the orchard right after heavy rains. I
thought several times I was going to go down and probably should have
taken a tripod, or something, to help me pull my boots out of the mire.
I couldn't find a rest and couldn't hold it well enough to sharpen the
foreground trees

slightly by the silver side of a 32" reflecter) passing through a
slider which had been tinted a very pale blue by the previous
homeowner.

Yep. DA 50-200. I was adjusting the focus point. It was pretty close
to right on. Tried to do the DA 12-24 tonight. Wide open at 24mm it's
pretty much in focus throughout the range. Hard to see any difference
between -4 and +4, so it stays at 0.

A little while ago, Boris asked my opinon on fast 50mm lenses. I don't
think I helped him much by saying there wasn't that much between them. I
certainly can't tell the difference. I like all of the 1.2s for the
bokeh so super sharp results aren't high on my priorities.

Nice image capture, but having the image horizontal with a portrait
orientation seems to clash for me. The subject wants to be in a landscape
orientation

Thanks Ken. I'm equally amazed. I finally got out a flash today and
shot some low ISO pics of Grace playing. I had also used the flash at
high synch when shooting birds. I'm very pleased with the P-TTL
performance. Looks good so far.

Greenery and almond blossoms are doing their thing right now.
The foreground trees, under which I was shooting, have since been
replaced by a housing development. Also, there is now a huge water tank
on the hill where you see the
IMO the K-1 was just only a code name.
They may want or not to reuse a code name as an actual product name.
