Nice. The woods around here used to be filled with wild dogwoods, about
20 years ago there was a dogwood blight of some kind. The local wild
trees haven't ever really recovered.

To amplify just a bit on Godder's reply...
If you shoot a few frames as RAW+JPEG and then import them into LR,
it is easy to see at a glance which are the JPEG (lighter) and which
are the RAW (darker). I was reminded of this last night while
scrolling through way too many thumbnails to try

I use cheap sdhc cards - paying $17 to $24 per card.
I bought 4 GB cards for the K20D, 2 of them,
and then the 8 GB cards were available for $27 so I picked up 2 more.
They are all class 6 speed rated.
I never bought sdhc cards for the K10D because I couldn't figure their speed.
Paul's note
Love those dogwoods. An interesting perspective.

Cool!
Now I suppose I should translate it back to Russian and then compare to
the original claiming that my language is far superior than theirs ;-).
Made me chuckle all right.

When I got the K20 I picked up a 4G card; the camera store recommended
a Lexar, and I've been quite happy with it. The interesting thing is
that it came with a little USB-key card reader, and that sucker is
*amazingly* fast, way faster than any card reader USB, or FireWire,
that I've used before.
Hear, hear! I might just have to shoot some blossoms with the
10-17 fisheye; there are a few good possibilities to explore ...

If you're going to act the part, you might as well dress for it, too.

Stan, Godfrey, and Rick: This was most helpful. I didn't realize the
histogram was analysis of the JPEG playback version when shooting in RAW. I
had always assumed the histogram was an analysis of the RAW settings when
shooting in RAW. Big Thanks, Christine

I'm quite happy with the Lexar as well, but I should add, I haven't tried
anything else. Still, I do think it's fast. Cheers, Christine
