Christine, I think the power/battery management system has been wonky since grips were 1st sold. For that matter, even before grips were sold, power was a camera problem. (The *ist D went from 3/3 on the battery to fully dead in nanoseconds.) It's always the first place I look when I encounter a

I don't think there is anything really wrong with the k-5's design. I mean the biggest two issues were the mirror flop and the sensor stain issues. If anything, the problem was more with quality control than anything else. Shame about the lens release too. Adhesives fail. Sh*t happens. The D600
