Given the photographic history of that church, I would never dare attempt

Hi Gonz - I do like the concept of a one size fits all lens, often
using my 28-105 for that; the issue is it's not really long enough or
wide enough for travel photography, if that's all you take with you.
I find the two lens combination, covering 16-200 with only a small gap
at 45-50 just

the adobe IRL is certainly warmer...although I think there are some faux
adobes there that are paler, but I'm going on a frail memory//
more attractive if warmer. Like to call it "clay" or "tan" rather
than"beige" remembering "beige" often used in a way to imply boring

I mostly shoot with primes when I have a good idea of what I'm going
to be shooting. But for more flexibility, I either take the DA 12-24
for landscapes, or for complete flexibility I take the DA 18-135. You
might want to consider the 18-135 if you are going to stay with APS-C.

The 16-45 has been my most used lens for all of my most recent
trips. On my current one, over 95% of my shots have been taken with
it: the range is so useful for city walking and most landscapes. I
brought the 50-200 this time as well, but have only used it
half-a-dozen times.
I think it works in both.. thinking of Elliot Porter's wonderful BW book
on the area...

And I'd like the color even more if the adobe's color were
I like my 16-45 a lot. Got it to go with my ist D about a decade ago. My
only frustration is the limited zoom range. I would likely replace it with
a 17-70 if I trusted that Pentax had fixed its SDM drive.
Faster lenses are too large and heavy to be appealing.
