That’s a beautiful shot, Ralf; nice composition, nice colors (I like the series of reds going across the frame: shelter, locomotive, overhang, signal light; and the greens in the carriages and trees). The rather ominous-looking sky adds a nice touch, too. Rick > On Mar 11, 2020, at 4:57 PM, Ra

It's not the cost of storage, it's the amount of time spent in reviewing multiple images! Larry, I don't agree with your original statement that early Pentax cameras were bad at metering, the vast majority of the images I shot with my *ist-D did not need much, if any, exposure adjustment in PP.

This is the most boring photo I have taken in months -- and I have taken some real yawn-provokers. For some reason, however, this blob of lichen growing on the brick of my front steps caught my attention, and for some other inexplicable reason the patterns and textures in the image appeal to me.

If you shoot RAW, much more tonal data is preserved. Nothing is clipped. Incorrectly exposed images can usually be brought up in PP.  In fact you do edit the unwanted images on the camera. If you shoot RAW, there is only one image to edit, albeit on the computer. I agree that if you discard the
