I've been lurking for quite a while now. Multiple family members have had
numerous health issues, my brother got married, my grandmother passed
away, and work has been one series of drama after another.
I'm hoping things are calming down now where I can start joining in
discussions again.
The flash blowout is very annoying. I've found I have to stop down more
than you mention myself. Knowing that the problem exists though I try to
just set things ahead and I'm getting quicker at the adjustments.

great horned owl at the local wildlife center today. He'll be with the
center until about August when he's old enough to fend for himself.

Not bad at all. I like the light quality to it a lot! I was able to get
a bit closer by shooting through my daughter's cheap telescope but still
not the clarity I would have liked.
