Interesting photos in terms of content, but most would benefit greatly from a
levels adjustment that set black point and white point and reshaped the

abnormal comes your way. Like a bird in shadow against a white sky. With

observable loss of quality. This was shot at ISO 250, f9, 1/800th, which

The thermometer hit 50 degrees F this afternoon, about 70 degrees warmer than
it was two days ago, so I spent some time in the yard shooting birds. I haven’t
been out there recently, so they were a bit shy and most stayed hidden. But I
got this red-bellied woodpecker high up in a spruce tree.
Very nice superb composition.

An interesting photo with all the geometry going on here, almost in defiance of
the subject.

Nice. I might clone out the intruding body parts. Are they snappers?

A lovely lady I know recently lost her husband. He left her an Olympus OM2,
several lenses, filters and more. She knows the gear isn’t worth much, but
wants to find a home for it. If anyone is interested, I will get more info on
the lenses.

Not bad. A little lacking in definition but still fascinating. Thanks for
shooting it. Too damn cold here, I was sound asleep.

Sounds complicated. Stan’s proposal is much more workable. And why print books?
We’ve been there and Mark has done that. Time to move on.

You might have better luck at the Apple Genius bar. If your phone is still
under warranty it should be free, and their techs can usually solve any problem.

Hi Mark,
Good to hear from you. I have ten books on my office shelf and will value them
greatly for the rest of my days. Thanks much for your extraordinary effort and
brilliant work.

It’s only a bit over 20 degrees F here, and there’s a stiff breeze, but at
least it’s sunny. So I ventured out in my backyard to shoot the birdies. Not a
great variety at this time of year. Mostly sparrows and Juncos with a
smattering of others, but nowhere near the variety we see in summer.
Looks delicious. I’m going to take some split pea soup, also to ward off the
cold.
