Looks like what you guys have going on is you are both on Gmail. So when the message is forwarded by the list server it comes back to Gmail with a Gmail sender on it. Gmail knows it is incoming rather than local and thinks maybe it is a spoof, so it gives you a heads up on it. Pretty smart
