Hi again Amy, Now I remember you and your lego photos. They're great. The new DA 14/2.8 should be perfect for what you want to do. The DA 16-45/4 might suffice as well. Both are for *istD only as they have a smaller image circle. Paul Stenquist On Sep 23, 2004, at 10:54 PM, Amy Hughes wrote: I

If you want to use the super wide with 35mm film bodies, your best bet is probably the A or K 15/3.5. But both are very expensive on the used lens market. Figure $600 or more. Paul On Sep 23, 2004, at 11:33 PM, Paul Stenquist wrote: Hi again Amy, Now I remember you and your lego photos. They're

Don't know if mine was defective (as I have no other 15mm to compare with), but I certainly wouldn't use it on digital consider it is not that sharp. DA14 is the best option imho. Alan Chan http://www.pbase.com/wlachan If you want to use the super wide with 35mm film bodies, your best bet is

I have the pic #37 printed 5x7 and it looks nice and sharp (with the help of Photoshop). I will have another 8x12 print tomorrow and see. But really, the scans don't look as sharp as scans from other lenses, not even the FA*24/2. Maybe it's the lack of contrast that's fooling me. Alan Chan

Something in the 20mm range should do. However it seems that lens defects are much more pronounced in digital so a good, (optical), quality lens is a must. Amy Hughes wrote: I picked up an *istD a couple days ago and I'm now wondering what folks use for a wide prime with this thing. I currently

I picked up an *istD a couple days ago and I'm now wondering what folks use for a wide prime with this thing. I currently have a 28/2.8, 50/1.4 and 77/1.8, all pentax. I'm looking for something to use as I was using the 28, so I guess I'm looking for something in the 14-20 range, AF a plus
