They would not have bought a fancy urn- so that puzzle is solved!

Haha, I read the whole thing but after your email I was like, how did
I miss this? Somehow I did not parse that last paragraph properly,
"pass word" instead of "password" threw me off!

Gonz - I feel for your Dad - glad he is still around! I ventured out
today briefly... heat index is due to be over 100 here today it is
90 now with 56% hum-did-ily - severe storms approaching early evening..

Thanks for sharing Ann.
My father lives in South Texas, he is 90 and the heat is taking a toll
on him too. He normally walks for his health and now he can't with
temps in the 100's and heat index in the 110's. His AC cannot keep up
with the constant heat and its like eighty something in the
Hi Ann!
Good to hear from you!
Today seems to be a break from the heat here in Chicago because of a major
thunderstorm we’ve had for about two days, so maybe some relief is on the way
for New York—maybe the thunderstorm will head by you and wash away the humidity
and heat. It was so bad here
Free is better for sure. Philadelphia is also free for us old folk
within the city limits on regular transportation... and the commuter
rail is deeply discounted.
My senior ride is normally $1.35 -- if I go somewhere and transfer to a
different route within two hours that is free..
Thanks for the update, ann.
Sorry to hear you suffer so much in the heat, it certainly isn't easy. It makes
me angry on behalf of Americans that older people don't get free public
transport, especially in a global city like NYC. In London you get it when
you're 60, even if you're in full-time
Thanks for the update. My Brooklyn daughter has no a/c and won't let me buy her
a window unit. Tough kid. I don't mind the heat, and I go out to shoot, garden
and shop, but I stay cool at home-- 72 degrees.
