Yes, no doubt. But there still is room for further development. There already are 5MP sensors 7.2x5.3mm large. An APS sized sensor with this pixel density would have 46 MP. So a good quality 10+ MP APS sensor is nothing unthinkable, right? Sven Zitat von Dag T <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > There is. >

There is. Such things as noise/sensitivity considerations and diffraction limits. DagT På 9. jan. 2004 kl. 15.00 skrev keller.schaefer: A full frame DSLR would just not fit into this picture - and there is no reason to believe that APS sized sensors cannot be developed further to achieve high

Of course I don't 'know' what will happen - but wouldn't this be a big, big surprise, given that they have stopped developing their full frame DSLR in favour of the *ist D and have started developing and selling lenses with a smaller image circle? To me this looks like a complete change of directio

I could not rank them. Wouldn't you have to test/try them to do that? Of the bunch, I have tried the Sigma 15-30 (Nikon Mount on D100), Phoenix 19-35 and Tokina 19-35. I ended up purchasing the Tokina. I would expect the Pentax 16-45 and 20-35 to be better, but they are more than 2X the price.
