I was just looking at them on dpreview.
Interesting, it would be fun to play with a bigger-sensor camera with
live preview. I looked online to see what primes are available, and
the 25mm (50mm eq.) from Leica and Sigma seem really big--62mm and
77mm filter size. What gives? Why not a 48-49mm
Still no successor to the E-1, which is what Olympus needs to introduce
to really stay in the game. It's Probably the same sensor that's in the
E-400 etc. The biggest problem with the 4/3 system is that it's already
beyond the point that Pentax and Nikon are where more powerful noise
I agree. However on a marketing POV they offer everything:
* Live view
* Anti-dust (and the best one)
* IS
* 10Mpix
Enough to convince a bunch of people IMO.
3 days to go for PMA... C'mon Pentax ;)

Nice bodies if you ask me. Hope for them their sensor isn't too crappy.
Nice bodies, the 14-35 f2 looks interesting as well. But I expect sensor
performance will still be compromised, they just
I'm not sure about the leica, but the Sigma design is a 35mm ultrawide
that has been given a 4/3rds mount. The lens is also available in EF, F,
and K mounts and covers full-frame 35mm.

Olympus did also tease about the E1 replacement which will be coming
later in the year and which will feature Live View aswell + new lenses
etc. Story on Dpreview.

Right!
BTW, a mockup of E-1 successor appears to have a tilt/swivel monitor. They
surely have a live view and wonder how they solved the problem of poor

Now I see it. The camera looks big, which is counter intuitive if you
assume that one of the selling points of the 4/3 system is compactness.
Anybody know how many mega pixels they're trying to squeeze onto the sensor?

I think that 'Back in the Game' is just marketing speak - it sounds
much better than saying 'released a new model(s)' - something that the
little guys need is hype to get potential buyers to look at them.

They're probably paying someone royalties. Or traded the right to use
someones system for use of one of their patents.
