Nicely captured. There really is nothing more majestic than the sea.
Just wondering if the whole frame isn't leaning a tad towards the right.

The BW doesn't cut it in my opinion (especially after seeing the color

Somehow, in BW, it really =does= look like an angry
sea! What a difference!

The blue and brown tones are an essential element of this shot. The BW
is just okay. I think the conversion leaves something to be desired.
But even a perfect conversion won't take you to the level of the
original color version.

To me it looks a little overwrought.

I think I agree with Bill: I prefer the BW rendering, but I think it
needs more work. It's a bit lacking in the subtlety ... the color
version's colors present a lot of subtlety that you need to re-
express in monochrome values by shaping the rendering selectively.

Very nice. Love the way the blue and brown tones play against each
other. Excellent framing of a difficult subject.

Bruce,
The sky looks wonderfully angry, but one can't see
enough of the sea to tell. I find myself curious
about what's to the left of the frame. A multi-shot
pano might have worked well here.

A really dynamic image. Love the mood and, of course, the patterns.
The tripod use suggestion is always a good one, (and I may have missed
an earlier tripod comment) but looking at the image on my monitor, I
don't see evidence of camera movement.

Well, not angry, but certainly disconsolate.
Nice picture.
Large format BW would improve your work.

That's moody and intense, looks great.
How to make it better:

Hello Godfrey,
I certainly agree about the tripod. I have three of them, but when
dragging the kids around, I don't have the luxury of either time or
extra hands to deal with it. But, I do use one whenever I can.
Both you and Bill have mentioned a BW rendering - I think that I
