Well, eBay pulled my service manual auction because it contained a link
to my web site. I've re-listed but with a link to my My eBay page
(which has a link to the free service manual page). We'll see if this
flies or if I need to resort to further subterfuge :)
Well, i quess you'll know how many people actually read your whole ad by the
number of
orders you

so what's exactly the problem? if you google pentax service manuals,
your site comes up as the first link.
now, if someone has more money than brains, and decides to buy the
same on ebay, what's wrong with that? why don't you want people charging
money for them? and why don't you sell them on

I just got an email alerting me to the fact that several people have
downloaded the free Pentax service manuals from my web site and are
selling them on eBay. Sigh. I thought that foolishness had stopped.

I noticed someone selling an LX service manual on CD. I'm gonna buy one
and put it on my site for free as well. Charging money for something to
which you don't own copyright stinks, IMHO.

Well, making them available on CD is probably a service to many (not
everyone has a highspeed connection). You might just as well make the
buck as someone else. OTOH you can not complain too loudly, you do not
exactly own the copyrights yourself. Pentax is not likely to complain,
