Have noted, but never used, fold down side windows on some small Piper Cub type
planes.
Would be much preferable to shooting through light scattering plastics, for
example.

Hi guys
Thanks for the suggestions - all duly noted!
I'm not looking for masterpieces out of this trip. As Cotty said, the
main thing is to enjoy the experience, but some reasonably passable
photos would be good too. I'll post some when I get a chance during the
trip.
Cheers

Don't fall out. After that, it's all good.

Brian,
I've done that once, 4 years ago.
Overall, I was underwhelmed about the photo opportunities.
A few reasons for that is that 1) the glass (plastic top) of the
cabin is rather scratched and dirty, and 2) the visibility to the things
below you is limited, and seems to be even smaller than

Surely a 645D and a wide-angle would be mandatory? TIC
Are you mad! These planes have weight limits!

I have many hours doing aerial photography as that was my speciality
in the Navy. A 210 is an excellent platform since it has no wing strut
to get in the way. Use program mode and shift it to a shutter speed at
least 500 to 1000. Adjust iso to allow staying up there if necessary.
Normal angle to

Have fun! I did, even though none of the resulting pix met my standards for

Brian,
Once upon a time this kind of aerial photography was one of my
frequent duties. I was a photographer for our state's Soil
Conservation Service, and whenever a storm or flood caused damage to
agricultural land, there I was.
Small Cessnas were our aeroplane of choice. The Cessna 210 you
