Marnie,
That's a handsome wall of Ivy and window.
The reflection of the palm tree shows the effort you made to compose it all.
As you say, quite pleasant.

Maybe. Anyway, it was a bunch of monks that made wine. So maybe they were
more jovial than that (and considering the wine making they probably had
nothing to do with kids ;-)). It is the nicest and oldest building in Napa

Actually, they are no longer in the wine making business. At least not in
California, anyway.
Marnie aka Doe :-) Which is not to say some of the wine might not still be
around, it probably is. Googled this, they were one of the first Napa
wineries.

Nice framing within the frame, Marne. Looks like it was a beautiful old
building.
I do a fair bit of business with Christian Brothers Services, which I
think is the successor organization to the brothers who used to run the
winery. Still run by brothers. They exited the winder / distillery
As Frank said, very calming urban shot. This would make a very fine framed pic.

Nice one, Paul. Weird and interesting shot -- unusual.
Poor ivy. :-(
Thanks Marnie. Actually, being encased in ice will protect the ivy from wind
burn and subzero temperatures. It stays right at 32 degrees. When there's a
severe frost, farmers sometimes spray water on their crops. Having them ice
over is better than exposing them to the elements..
Now that's cool. :-)
Interesting that some of the shapes look like ice sculptures of elephant's
trunks (or did I have too much red wine last night?)
