I like both though I think the first one is more graphic, more complicated.

Nice work Shel.
I like them both for the simple graphic nature color. Both have the look
of crafted images.

Shel,
I really like both of these. Especially the tonal
range in the wider shot. There's horizontal, vertical
and oblique angles everywhere but the framing seems to
contain everything without it looking busy.

I'm coming to appreciate the term as well. It's certainly sounds more

IMO - Crafted image = a well thought out, planned executed
image, more than a mere photo;
Nice lens that.
The barrel looks strangely flat, as if it's a piece of cardboard or
something.
The picture are nicely taken - well crafted, as someone said - and
convey a sense of emptiness well. However, the station doesn't feel
abandoned to me. It looks as though perhaps it's maintained as a

Hi Bob,
It's possible that I've said this before, but that K24/2.8 is one of my
favorite lenses - it's certainly used a lot and, like the man on TV says, I
don't leave home without it. At some point I'd like to try an A24/2.8 -
gotta check the Boz site and see if the formula is the same.
The
They do seem to share the same optical formula, according to Boz.

Both pictures are very good. I would myself have cut off some foreground
(again..) of the Station Platform as the interest is all in that
building. But as it is now with its square format it has some
reminescence of the old-fashioned twin eye pictures. The Barrel and
Window could be a tad darker
There is a small element in the foreground of that photo which I wanted to
keep. While it's sort of inconsequential, I feel it adds something to the
scene. Thanks for looking and for your comments.
