The back can be removed easily so you might just buy another one to replace
it. Or you may strip down the back and see which part needs to be replaced
(the rubber probably) and order from Pentax Parts Department. It will be
much cheaper this way.

In what way did the buttons fail? If they go in and
out but nothing happens, the first thing to try is
cleaning the contacts at the bottom of the door.

a lot of money. Changing the back door on it is very easy. When you open
the back door and look at the hinge there should be a small screw near the
top of the hinge. Don't get out that mini screwdriver! Simply use
