Odd - I took my mother's dog to the vet yesterday with kidney failure! The dog
is now having IV feeding as she was very dehydrated and hadn't eaten for some
days, so my mother is hoping the dog will be around for another few months at
least - it's 19 years old too!

John, I am sorry to read Baxter's story.
It reminded me of some painful moments... loosing my lovely friend
Pebble at a young age without even becoming sick once.
It was all my fault and that makes the pain sharper...

You will always remember Baxter... better doing it with a smile.

That's a long life for a domestice cat - continue to savor the memories she and

John,
What Ann said so well. I too had to
make such an agonizing decision
that stays with one for some time.
Tough to do and get past, but was

So sorry for your loss, John. We're never "ready" to make that decision
but when it has to be done to mitigate suffering, it's the right thing
to do. Glad you were able to share so many years with her.

Sorry for your loss, John.
It is always a difficult decision and a tough experience. I have been in
that situation several times.
21 years is a long time; be thankful you had so many good years with her,
and for the happy memories you have of her.
