If you shoot RAW, the K200D is slower than the EOS 1000D and has a
smaller buffer. If you shoot JPEG, the K200D is only faster for the
first 4 shots, then it's far slower because you just ran out of buffer
and the Canon's buffer is unlimited in JPEG.
The Canon is less crippled. I'd rather have a s
Sure, sure, but 1fps, buffer or not I don't care. I don't think thre's
even anything approaching a buffer on an eos1000D.
Personnaly (but it heavily depends on the camera use of someone) I
still "prefer" the K200D in this regard although I should say it is a
bit less cripled than eos1000D.

Of course, it can do that 1.5fps until the card's full in JPEG (or 5
RAW frames), a notable improvement over the K200D's faster but smaller
buffer (unlimited at 1.5fps vs 4 frames at 2.8fps) in JPEG and both
faster (1.5 vs 1.1fps) and deeper buffer (5 frame vs 4) in RAW.

If you like plastic and 1fps at high ISO why not... :p

No. No need to thank me, after all, what are friends for?

Aah, just when the rumor mill had ceased to grind, it's restarted.
I know that it won't happen but this is what I'd like to see a K1000D.
1. A glass pentaprism with a good manual focus screen, (no
autofocus at all).
2. A 10-14mp sensor,
3.) An exceptional metering system, but wi

I indeed think that LiveView is mandatory or about on a low-end
camera, just because guys from P&S will be happy.
More importantly, it needs cheap price and very good marketing exposure.
Nikon is selling shedloads of D40/D40X/D60 without any liveview but
they have a damn good marketing presence (n

What I would like to see is a budget camera with Live View :D So it would
make a great UV/IR Cam :P The Pentax K20D is just a bit

What *someone* needs to make is a real student camera, along the lines
of the K1000: Manual everything (*Espec
Over here, the K200D is massively overpriced. It's not a budget camera
at all. I can get a Nikon D40 for under $450CDN, or a Sony A200 (which
matches or exceeds the K200D in all regards except weather sealing)
for $500 or less, both of those with their respective kit lenses but a

Not much news there. They've said the second camera was coming
Not much after PMA there was a 'rumour' that german Pentax fan forum users
met the german Pentax guys to test the K20D and they said there will be
two new Pentax cams at Photokina, one with 3 digits and one with 1 digits.
So K2D (since K1D existed as a prototype) is very probable and I hope the
