Thanks to all for the suggestions. I was able to find the part (I believe) from UScamera.com for $14 shipped. Note that the same part fits: Genuine Pentax battery cover shell for the K-3, K-3II, K5, K-5 II, K-5 IIS, K-7, and the 645D digital camera. So I *hope* this is the part I need. They told

KEH would also be worth checking. They do repairs, they may well have a UGL K-3ii they could sell you for parts or that they could deconstruct themselves to do your repair… My experience with Precision is that they do do good work, anything unusual involves shipping the unit to Japan or
