John- I have the combo of a ZX-5n and a Sigma 28-135mm. I like this particular combo for everyday use... the lens covers most of the focal lengths I use most. I can't compare it to the Tamron, though as I've no experience w/ it. The lens feels solid and balances well w/ the ZX-5n. 4x6 prints w/
