If I did my maths right, then my latest eBay conquer divide (buy,
split resell) will get me a free FA 28-105/3.2-4.5 AL IF (and
perhaps an MZ-6 if all goes well) - does anyone here own that lens and
can comment on it?
Thanks

Later, no power zoom. I read in Pentax Forums it was sort of a quiet
overachiever [...] punching out of its price range so that would be
nice.

bummer. well I'm going to hope you had a bad copy then. I do read that
zoom tends to slide pointed down - can you confirm that?

Yes, and it is quite wobbly on the barrel too. My
well I hope mine will be OK then, sounds promising. I have nothing in
that range yet other than the 18-250 so it will be a nice addition to

I had that lens at one time and found it surprisingly good. The portrait of the
man that appears on the home page of the Pentax Gallery was shot with it. I
found it sharp and contrasty, and it's an excellent focal length range for a
walk around town.

My zoom stayed in place. I shot thousands of frames with the lens and never had
a problem. I sold it when I bought some other equipment, but it was still in
excellent condition.

some time ago I inquired here about off camera flash cords/adaptors.
the other day I finally picked up on eBay a kit consisting of four
older Pentax hotshoe adaptors (same pinout as my K10D so I hope they
should work regardless of their age), two flash sync cords and a

That flash is not going to be very useful with your K10D. It's TTL
only, and your camera doesn't speak TTL.
